Race day was quite eventful to say the least. There were tons of spectators, people and wildlife alike. We spent plenty of time waiting at the line while someone yelled at a bear through a megaphone to scare it away, or while Unkle Lee rode down a few corners to scare a deer off the course. At one point a bear felt it necessary to really challenge us, and when we yelled at it, it retaliated by climbing one of the jersey barriers on the side of the road and pooping on the course before running off. Despite a few obstacles, the racing was fierce and riders were pushing themselves hard.
